Ok space you ready for this.....get part popcorn and also refreshments....This Buick comes in due to the fact that it/s running genuine bad fifty percent power or much less ...owner claims it overheated according to the the temp guage {went crazy> to add the short tire press light came on.....says he reset the tire push light {reset switch located in R/s dash fuse panel>He also adjusted the thermostat....So basic fix now eh....He didn"t adjust the plugs or oil .....No not quite he didn"t bleed the air out of the system { 2 bleeders ~ above this car>....So us bleed it out then operation for password none......back to basics.....So no air in cooling device now ...runs like carp, still trac turn off light on,system computer system has gotten in limp house mode So bring out the heavy guns Snap-on tester acquire map, tcc,BCM password B3267,ABS code C1275.....check map.....vac + volt check good.tcc tests good,BCM password B3267 is LF home window express circuit is low,but the beauty is password C1275 the computer requested and also disabled the ETS/TCS due to the fact that of an engine difficulty go figure.....so your stuck in limp residence mode to run carpy....use scanner to turn trac system back on and it reverts earlier after system inspect on restart.....complete wiring computer system pins inspect is following ....me thinks quick some where any kind of thoughts, thanks

Re: 2000 Buick Century 3-1 Trac turn off light er....longWe have a Buick Regal comparable to that Century...pretty an excellent car, so far. I have noticed that as soon as the battery it s okay down, weak, nearly dead, the it can reason all kinds of signal in the computer system system....maybe check battery, connections, ground?

Re: 2000 Buick Century 3-1 Trac turn off light er....longPretty much the same beware if you disconnect the battery girlfriend will have to reset the low tire presure irradiate ....reset is in the R/s dash fuse panel height left.....hold because that 10 secs with key on....just on no start.....even if you turn or change tires reset has to be done...There is also a problem with those cars printed circult cluster the resistors come loose or even fall out....you need to pull the entirety dash turn off re-solder them....a pain but cheap solve for a diy job......charging mechanism on this one is A one ....dash may need to come turn off this one to get at the BCM

Re: 2000 Buick Century 3-1 Trac off light er....longThinking the end loud currently an exciting fact with the low tires prressure light...it provides ABS components..the EBCM the wheel sensors using course 2 serial data messages and also instrument swarm to perform device functions.....2 attributes are screen the warning low tires pressure message LOW tire on dash when commanded through the EBCM and it sends the tire monitor system the reset command come the EBCM via the reset button in the fuse box.... For this reason if that did no reset due to the fact that of a short in between reset and EBCM the TRAC off light ....light on dash would remain on ....keeping car in limp home mode therefore the C1275 code humm maybe

Re: 2000 Buick Century 3-1 Trac turn off light er....longObviously it"s electrical, but shot pulling the shift lever under into 1st gear, and also see if it operation better. My 1999 Century, pulling the gear selector into first was the ONLY way to rotate off the TCS, (no switch on dash.( it won"t deal with your problem, but "maybe" just maybe if the TCS gets turned turn off manually, it will certainly run correctly, because that a minute and help you find the wiring issue?

Re: 2000 Buick Century 3-1 Trac turn off light er....longBoy thats funny the device goes right into Trac off mode when your in first or 2nd.....working mechanism Trac off light come on you have to switch to journey 3 or overdrive to gain the Trac turn off and back into trac on mode...light off....Paul a guy with several experience through these dare was reasoning it was a trannie issue computer getting signal auto was in 1 or 2 every the time....when in 3 or overdrive....but that doesn"t it seems to be ~ to it is in the reason of running in limp residence mode......no switch on this one either

Re: 2000 Buick Century 3-1 Trac off light er....longThose 3.1L are good engines and if ns remember ideal the most significant issue to be the coolant leaking into the intake......Sounds prefer an electrical gremlin. I never cares for the TCS in them.

Re: 2000 Buick Century 3-1 Trac turn off light er....longCode C 1275 has provided me a theory on this problem......it"s one engine problem according to the password ....well a auto in limp mode half strength or less......the resistors in the chip manage this mode...... That either the chip is screwed or it is recieving unuseable data due to the fact that of that intermitent it is provided of data
Re: 2000 Buick Century 3-1 Trac turn off light er....long
Re: 2000 Buick Century 3-1 Trac off light er....longSorry for the lengthy wait i was` busy fixing others.....Yep it was an intermitent brief so the settle was a brand-new pigtail connector in ~ the CTS coolant temp sensorand the CTS sensor also.....dash temp guage works appropriate now, computer gets appropriate temp signal,Trac turn off light isn"t top top anymore.......car runs favor normal.....except for other little problems......like window express switch,speedo..internal VSS problem, gas leak.......Big clue to this problem was the live data indigenous the computer showed the engine temp to be -8 once it was warm 140 or so genuine temp.......So the throttle is solved thats what I speak to the CTS due to the fact that it will reason the car to continue to be in open Loop if faulty......just prefer running with the choke on every the time....The O2 sensors to be working due to the fact that they had actually heated up so the computer system got stunner info.....couldn"t handle it....Limp setting or open up Loop your choice.......IF you have this difficulty clean increase engine problems first.bad grounds electric next.....last protection system.....unless pinpointed difficulty on live data scan....The CTS on this auto has 3 wires meaning it controls the dash temp guage likewise ..../if it has actually 2 wires a seperate sensor would manage dash guage located elsewhere on the engine
