Is acaba de the right expression? and also is "die" interpreted literally or idiomatically in this context?

Para completar las respuestas anteriores, en España se dice

mi móvil no tiene batería

a mi móvil se le está acabando la batería

Here in Chile is really common "Mi celular está muriendo" meaning that her cell call is running out of battery. I understand it is certain informal however widespread.

You are watching: How to say go die in spanish

Se le acaba la pila al móvil. // Se acaba la pila de mi móvil.

o bien

La batería del celular se está acabando.

A mi celular/móvil le queda (muy) poca batería.

I would use neither mi celular acaba de morir nor mi celular se está muriendo, return some civilization do.

In Spain: Mi móvil está a punto de morir.

Varias respuestas dan por hecho que se está quedando sin batería, cuando la pregunta initial no lo indica.

I think the correct translation would certainly be:

Se me está por morir el celular/cel/teléfono

At least below in Uruguay we usage that expression a lot and method the same.(You can use any kind of of the 3 indigenous I provided to describe the cellphone, depending the region, in Uruguay us use mainly these 3 but in Spain the usage a many móvil or one more could be teléfono móvil yet I don"t know if that"s supplied in some place).

And i think friend shouldn"t take it translatations that provides the batería indigenous specifically because depending the context, the exact same phrase can mean that the cellphone isn"t working correctly or it"s an extremely damaged or something.

acaba de morir

is wrong because you speak that when you cellphone simply died, and also not as soon as it"s around to.
